Who Can Apply: Persons in their last year of law school may compete in the examination but may not be appointed until they have eligibility to take the California State Bar examination. This class is primarily designed to afford law school graduates, not yet certified by The State Bar of California, an introduction to legal practice in the State service.
Attorneys – Conduct hearings, draft proposed decisions, and ensure fair and just outcomes for victims.
$7,737 – $10,168, Range A
$8,709 – $11,676, Range B
Who Can Apply: All classifications require active membership in The California State Bar. Applicants who are not members of The California State Bar but who are eligible to take the California State Bar examination or are in their final year of law school will be admitted to the examination but will not be considered eligible for appointment until they are admitted to The State Bar.
