Q1: Should the budget depict a quarterly overview or annual?

A1: The second posting of the Notice of Funds Available (NOFA) stated that the budget for each fiscal year of the grant period is required. Please utilize the budget worksheet that accompanied the NOFA posting on CalVCB’s website.

Q2: Must all multi-disciplinary team members be on staff currently or can they be added through grant funding?

A2: Multidisciplinary staff may be currently on staff or added through grant funding.

Q3: Please specify who should be on the multi-disciplinary team?

A3: Please refer to Section 4 (Eligibility Criteria and Minimum Qualifications) of the Notice of Funds Available.

Q4: What is the best way to depict that individuals and families are not denied services based on behavior, etc. or immigration status?

A4: Please refer to Section 4 (Eligibility Criteria and Minimum Qualifications) of the Notice of Funds Available.

Q5: Does a Psychologist have to be on payroll? If so, what is their minimum Full- Time Equivalent (FTE)?

A5: Per Section 4 (Eligibility Criteria and Minimum Qualifications) of the Notice of Funds Available, at least one licensed psychologist is required to be on staff. The staff psychologist must be sufficiently funded to cover the needs of the TRC’s clients.

Q6: What is the minimum FTE for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker supervisor?

A6: Per Section 4 (Eligibility Criteria and Minimum Qualifications) of the Notice of Funds Available, at least one Social Worker is required to be on staff.

Q7: Is the Licensed Clinical Supervisor typically considered the “Clinical Director” who provides supervision to clinicians, or should the title be transferred to “Clinical Coordinator”? Or does this have to be a completely new position?

A7: Please refer to Section 4 (Eligibility Criteria and Minimum Qualifications) of the Notice of Funds Available.

Q8: Do we refer to our “Mental Health Clinicians” as “Mental Health Clinicians/Social Workers” on the narrative and budget to make it clear that we have at least one social worker on our team?

A8: Yes, please clearly state the position and licensure of all funded clinicians constituting the multidisciplinary staff. Please indicate the licensure of clinical staff in the Position/Class column of the Budget Worksheet and Budget Narrative.
