California has established the Forced or Involuntary Sterilization Compensation Program. Survivors of state-sponsored sterilization can apply for compensation through CalVCB in January 2022. Please check back for more details.

Pursuant to Government Code section 11123(a), all meetings of a state body are open and public, and all persons are permitted to attend any meeting of a state body, except as otherwise provided in that article.

Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20, certain provisions of the Bagley Keene Open Meeting Act are suspended due to a State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Consistent with the Executive Order, CalVCB’s meeting will be conducted by teleconference. Members of the public who wish to observe the meeting may do so on our YouTube channel. Members of the public who wish to comment during the meeting may do so by emailing CalVCB at Board.Meeting@Victims.ca.gov prior to the meeting.

Live Streaming of Victim Compensation Board Meetings

The CalVCB, in an attempt to make the CalVCB meetings more accessible to the public, is live streaming the CalVCB meetings on our YouTube channel:  http://youtube.com/californiavcp.

While every effort is made to provide this service to the community, there is no guarantee that the service will work in every instance. Remote computers vary in their operating system, internet connection type and speed, and hardware/software capabilities. If you experience any issues with the stream and would still like to view the meeting, you may request a DVD copy of the meeting by emailing PublicAffairs@victims.ca.gov.
